This year seems to have FLOWN by even with the fact that we have been quarantined to our homes for the better half of the year. We are somehow right around the corner from 'Back to School' time, which means we must start getting prepared. There is much more that comes with going back to school than packed lunches and tied sneakers--we have to make sure our children look and feel their best! We believe that when you are dressed in what you love, you perform better. Although kids may spend their time rolling around in the dirt or spilling just about anything you give them to eat or drink all over themselves, this philosophy still holds through for our children. If they are happy in the clothes they wear, in turn, they will feel more CONFIDENT! And so with that, we wanted to round up a few pieces to boost your child's wardrobe before starting up classes again.
1. Graphic Tees
We love a good graphic t-shirt, whether it be a band or cartoon character! This is a great way to show off your child's personality and personal interests. It can also be an effortless way to create a cool outfit. Our new Peace, Love & Happiness tees are a great graphic to throw on with a pair of denim, sweatpants, or shorts for an easy & cool outfit (and to support a really great cause)!
2. Patterned Leggings
This can be a great addition to your child's wardrobe to liven up a plain outfit. Show off your child's interests with cool tie-dye or space-themed leggings and a plain t-shirt or crew neck. Make outfit planning easy when you can build around a bold bottom.
Sneakers are not only a comfortable choice for kids going back to school, but they can be a fashionable choice as well! Some of our favorites are Converse Low Tops, Vans Classic Slip-Ons, and Adidas Superstars. These are a couple of classic styles that you can never go wrong with when it comes to comfort and style!
The essential when it comes to 'Back to School' shopping! Backpacks serve as a place to store all of the schooltime necessities as well as show off a little flair! Backpacks are fun to get in bright colors and patterns. This can be a fun way to add some of those trendy neon colors into your child's wardrobe. Tip: get a plain colored backpack and add your own pins and patches to personalize it! Make it a fun bonding activity between you and your child -- let them help pick out some styles and arrange the pieces together!
Athleisure has definitely been trending for some time now and if anything, quarantine definitely put us to the test creating some unique outfits using just sweatpants and a sweatshirt for a couple of months. However, we LOVE this trend and hope that we never see it go away. With our New York Sweatpants and Sweatshirt set, you can still dress your kid up without trying too much (cardinal rules of athleisure-comfort and ease with style). As fall rolls around we will also be adding some more color options to the mix!
